Our Philosophy
Guided by a relentless focus on our "Three Pillars of Management," GDA will constantly strive to implement the critical initiatives required to achieve its stated vision. The three pillars are Guidance, Development and Achievement.
Guidance
Through industry experience, professional relationships, and unparalleled passion, GDA will guide its clients during each phase of their respective careers, and present the best possible options for both short and long-term benefit. GDA and its partners will strive to truly change the way relationships are formed and maintained, while supervising players with the utmost care, trust and responsibility.
Through GDA's significant and substantive research, GDA will provide educated answers to its clients' questions and concerns, in an effort to continually reinforce its relationship, and to provide continuous value. GDA will strive to readily identify crucial issues, to generate practical alternatives, and to respond with sensible direction, regardless of what the client wants to hear.
GDA will analyze each client's situation, identify and highlight the critical needs of the client, share those needs with the player and the player's family, and guide the client through the process of making decisions that will address those needs in the most meaningful way.
Development
GDA will work to provide its players with the tools, resources and intellectual guidance they need to ensure they continuously develop their skill set. GDA will make every effort to bring out a player's talent, develop their leadership skills, and keep them motivated while eliminating all performance barriers. As part of the development process, GDA agents will map out a clear course of action that will allow for optimal player development, both on and off the ice. GDA's purpose in this method of guidance is to achieve a positive impact by increasing performance while achieving continual and sustainable gains in said performance levels and abilities.
Should a player veer off of their planned professional course of action, the GDA team will work to intervene in an effort to keep the player's focus on achieving their goals. In doing this, the GDA team members will show the client where they have erred, and propose a corrective course of action specific to the client's individual goals.
Achievement
GDA employees will share a philosophy that values achievement. Its success is measured solely by the achievement of its clients. In order to keep focus on the achievement of goals, both the GDA staff and the players will both be managed in the Management by Objectives philosophy. Players will be assigned clearly identified target objectives. The GDA staff will be assigned goals that will support players in their achievement of those aims.
The GDA culture of knowledge-sharing and continual development will support players in their quest for professional and personal development. GDA will be an active partner for its clients, investing in their potential to help them realize measurable results.
